AMYLASE, SERUM

This is a marker of pancreatic disease being elevated in Acute pancreatitis and acute exacerbation of Chronic pancreatitis. It may also be elevated in cases of drug induced Acute pancreatitis and obstruction of pancreatic duct by stone / carcinoma.
