HEPATITIS Be PANEL

HBeAg is found in early phase of HBV infection and correlates with infectivity. It also determines infection status in chronically HBV infected patients. HBe antibody measurement is useful for recognition of resolution of HBV infection with seroconversion of HBeAg to Anti HBe. This usually indicates loss of infectivity but carrier state may persist.
